Role overview
EVV Housing manages a growing portfolio of short-term and long-term rental properties across the Evansville area. We are hiring a Property Maintenance Technician to help keep units clean, functional, safe, and ready for guests and residents. This is a practical role for someone who is reliable in the field, communicates clearly, and takes pride in solving property issues quickly and correctly.
Address maintenance requests, perform general repairs, and complete apartment turns between tenants.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and service calls.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, drywall repair, painting, and appliance installation.
Complete apartment turns including cleaning, touch-ups, hardware replacement, and any necessary repairs.
Conduct regular property inspections and preventative maintenance.
Document work performed and communicate job status through the property management system.
Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with local building codes.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with residents and staff.
Bring a self-motivated, professional, and responsive approach to the needs of residents and property management.
Proven experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a skilled trade.
Own tools and reliable transportation.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and customer service abilities.
A smartphone with camera and email access for job documentation and updates.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Must pass a background check.
